Cream of the Crop

Our organic milk is non-homogenised, which means the cream rises to the top - just like in the old days!
Homogenisation is a process carried out by large-scale processors to break down the natural fat molecules in milk, preventing them from separating into cream.
But why process the best bit? Homogenisation also makes it easier for big processors to mix large volumes of milk from lots of different farms. Not a problem for us. One organic herd and one delicious type of milk.
Milk without the miles

Our creamery is just a hop, skip, and a jump from our milk refill stations.
This means you can buy our products on the same morning they were produced - no lorries or vans in sight. It really is milk without the miles!
Batch of the Day

What's the secret to the Forest Farm flavour?
We are dedicated to producing milk as close to its natural state as possible. That's why we work in small batches and pasteurise slow and low.
Once upon a time all milk was pasteurised this way. The traditional slow method of pasteurising was lost to quick, high temperature, continuous flow methods for large volumes. The results? Well...you know what they say. All good things come to those who wait.
Don't panic, we're organic

We pride ourselves on really looking after our cows, and we think it shows in the quality and flavour of our organic milk. Happy, healthy cows always produce the best milk.
Our organic girls dine on only the best clover rich organic pastures. Naturally, these pastures are completely free from chemical fertilisers, herbicides or fungicides. Instead, we work with nature and rotate our crops to produce healthy feed for our cows.
This means you can be assured that your organic milk comes from cows that eat a natural diet.
Choose to reuse

At Forest Farm we think glass is class.
Plastic doesn't magically vanish and even when recycled it will often continue shedding particles into the environment, rivers and oceans.
That's why we decided to bring glass milk bottles back for the lovely people of Aberdeenshire. Pick up a reusable bottle or jar from our farm shop and discover how easy it is to ditch single use plastic.
